Long stay in Ghana

Experience It offers also placement when you want to stay longer than one month!

A long stay program includes airport pick-up, four days of introduction (read more about the introduction below) and a placement.

The introduction week

The introduction week is organized on 'Safety', 'Health', 'Cross-culture', 'Homestay', 'Work Place Ethics' and many other relevant issues. In the introduction week you will make a visit to the best beach near to Accra, you will visit a Ghanaian market, you'll be taken to a forex bureau to change money (to the Ghana Cedis), you will have drumming lessons on the beach and Ghanaian cooking lessons!

Placement

Volunteers can be placed in:

  1. Schools (Senior High School, Junior High School, Vocational, Primary, Nursery, Kindergarten and Creche)
  2. Health institutions (Hospitals, Health Centers, Community Clinics, Local Health Centres and Rehabilitation Centres)
  3. Orphanages
  4. HIV/AIDS Projects
  5. Agriculture
  6. Football Coaching
  7. Small Scale Industries

Internetship for volunteers can be:

  1. Hospitals
  2. Schools
  3. Agricultural Projects
  4. Small Scale Industries

Long stay in Ghana

Accomodation

Homestay is provided for volunteers to stay with Ghanaian families to practice the local language and also have an African family, where they can learn more about the Ghanaian culture.

Hostels are also available for volunteers who whould not want to stay with a local family. Meals are provided in the hostels upon request.
